A red dot is only as good as the plate under it, and Eemann Tech has built a new one for competition shooters who want an Aimpoint COA on a CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready. The Eemann Tech CZ Shadow 2 OR Plate Mount for Aimpoint COA is made of steel, finished in black and designed for direct installation of the COA. It aims at precise alignment between slide and optic for competition, training and duty use. This should make an excellent competition pistol even better!
The plate is machined from high-quality steel for rigidity and resistance to deformation under recoil. Its geometry matches the CZ Shadow 2 OR platform, so it fits without any modification to the slide. A low-profile design keeps the sight height and shooting ergonomics where shooters want them, which helps handling and accuracy.
One detail will matter to anyone who maintains their own pistol. An integrated access hole lets the extractor pin be removed and installed without taking the plate off the slide. That simplifies maintenance and cuts downtime, since there is no need to break a mounting setup just to service the pistol.
The mounting system uses dedicated screws for both the plate-to-slide and optic-to-plate connections. Eemann Tech says this secures the installation and gives repeatable positioning, so an optic that comes off can go back on in the same place. The plate weighs about 25 grams (0.88 ounces).
The box includes the plate, two spare screws for the CZ OR plate mount (ET-130896) and two spare T10 screws for the Aimpoint COA locking system. The reference number is ET-130167, and the recommended retail price is 89.22 euros. Spare screws are a welcome “option,” I have to say, as you never know what happens in competition or training.
