Are you looking for a dead-simple handgun that hits like a hammer? Bond Arms hears your plea and offers the new America 250th Special Edition Hand Cannon. Yeah, that’s what they call it, and the name sounds a bit hokey, but a closer look at the specs shows they might be naming it accurately.

Derringers @ TFB:

Bond Arms just got finished with showing off their new silenced option at SHOT Show (see it here), but they’ve done a complete 180 again and introduced another hideaway gun with a Rottweiler’s bark instead of a Chihuahua’s sniffle. In other words: Something for everyone, and Bond Arms is laying it all out there by calling this thing the Hand Cannon. No pussyfooting around there! This thing will hit hard at the business end, but it might be a lot to control from the user’s perspective as well.

It won’t be as rowdy as some of their other options, mind you. It’s chambered in the .45 Colt/.410 combo that Taurus made famous in their revolvers—still a handful, but not up to the level of Bond Arms’ fifty-cal options.

As the name implies, this handgun is built to celebrate America’s 250th birthday (Bond Arms always has something new to celebrate with a new pistol). The new derringer comes in two options, both built on the same stainless steel frame with a 4.25-inch barrel and single-action operation, but with different finishes. Their PR says:

“For the traditionalist who honors classic American tools, the Rough Series finish honors that timeless aesthetic. For a bold, modern statement of strength, the Black Cerakote Version offers a distinctive look with custom commemorative engraving on both sides and Bond Arms' signature B6 grips.”

The black Cerakoted finish will set you back $699, while the standard shiny-finished Rough Series model is $499. For more details, check out Bond Arms’ website here.
