Charter Arms Walker Series 8-Shot Ultra-Compact Rimfire Revolvers
Rimfire carry guns occupy a strange spot. Nobody argues .22 LR is ideal for defense, but plenty of shooters can’t run a centerfire snub comfortably, and eight rounds of rimfire you can actually shoot beats five rounds of .38 you flinch through. Charter Arms built the new Walker Series for exactly that shooter.
The Walker is an ultra-compact eight-shot revolver available in either .22 LR or .22 WMR. Frame is aluminum, barrel and cylinder are steel, and the whole gun weighs 15 ounces. The hammer is fully concealed, making this a double-action-only gun with nothing to hang up on a pocket or a jacket lining on the way out.

Model numbers and pricing break down as follows: the 12221 in .22 LR black on black passivate runs $461.72, the 12311 in .22 Magnum with the same finish is $467.15, the 52251 and 52271 in .22 LR pink and blue hi-polished both list at $479.37, and the 52351 and 52371 in .22 Magnum pink and blue hi-polished come in at $486.16.
Finish options split into two camps. The black guns pair an anodized frame with black passivate stainless components. The pink and blue models use anodized frames against high-polished stainless, which is a look Charter Arms has done well for years and one that moves product whether purists like it or not.
Nick Ecker, owner and CEO of Charter Arms, said customers have praised the gun’s concealability and accuracy. Charter has been making American revolvers for more than 60 years, and the Walker fits their pattern of building lightweight, affordable guns rather than chasing premium price points.
Eight rounds of .22 Magnum out of a two-inch barrel loses a fair chunk of velocity, so ammo selection matters more here than it would from a rifle. Still, for a trail gun, a truck gun, or a carry piece for someone with limited hand strength, the Walker covers ground.
