Chiappa Introduces the M1-22 Bushranger Semi-Auto Rimfire for 2026
Chiappa is adding the M1-22 Bushranger to their rimfire lineup for 2026, a .22 LR semi-auto with a 16.5-inch threaded barrel, full-length Picatinny rail, M-LOK forend, and a painted beechwood pistol-grip stock. At 5.43 pounds and 29.25 inches overall it is a light, compact package that covers recreational shooting and skill development without asking a lot of the shooter in terms of setup or complexity.
Chiappa on AllOutdoor:
- Chiappa’s NEW Little Badger Take Down Xtreme Rifle
- The Chiappa Rhino
- Chiappa Black Rhino CBR-9 9mm PDW
- Chiappa Nebula 6″ Rhino Revolver in PVD Finish
- Chiappa’s M6 Survival Gun Comes in 22 WMR and With Choke Tubes
The combination of wood furniture and modern mounting surfaces is the distinctive part of this rifle. A beechwood pistol-grip stock is not what you typically see on a rifle with a full-length Picatinny rail and M-LOK forend. Chiappa is threading the needle between classic rimfire feel and contemporary accessory capability, which gives the Bushranger a look that stands out on the rack compared to the all-polymer rimfire options in this price range.

Two 10-round magazines ship with the rifle, the muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 for common rimfire muzzle devices where legal, and the receiver is alloy with a steel barrel and bolt.
- Caliber: .22 LR
- Action: Semi-automatic
- Barrel: 16.5″ with aluminum shroud, threaded 1/2×28
- Capacity: 10 rounds, detachable magazine (2 included)
- Trigger: Single stage
- Optics interface: Full-length Picatinny rail
- Accessory interface: M-LOK under forend
- Stock: Painted beechwood, pistol grip
- Safety: Manual
- Weight: 5.43 lbs
- Overall length: 29.25″
- Receiver: Alloy
- Barrel and bolt: Steel
- Finish: Black
- SKU: 500.282
- MSRP: $499.00
At $499 it is priced in a competitive spot for a feature-equipped rimfire semi-auto. The threaded barrel and M-LOK forend at this price point are worth noting since a lot of rifles in this range make you pay extra or go aftermarket to get there.

Is the wood stock and modern rail combination something that appeals to you, or do you prefer your rimfire setups to go all the way in one direction or the other? Let us know in the comments below. We always appreciate the feedback.
