FALCO and GBGuns Launch New A914 IWB Holster
I don’t think that concealed carry stops when the orange vest goes on, or you park your butt in a fishing boat. With that, comfort over a long day in the field matters just as much as it does at the range or on the water. That’s the territory Falco Holsters and GBGuns’ Graham Baates are aiming at with the new A914 IWB Holster, a hybrid design built from U.S. Kydex and Italian leather. Baates brings a background that includes military deployments and a decade of daily carry experience to the design process, which, for those of you who carry while hiking, hunting, or working outdoors, will likely appreciate more than a holster designed purely with concealment under a suit jacket in mind.

FALCO and GBGuns Launch New A914 IWB Holster
The A914 brings together the secure retention and fast draw of U.S. Kydex with the comfort enhancement of premium Italian leather. Designed primarily for hip IWB carry, the holster performs best in the 3 to 5 o’clock position and offers a practical solution for gun owners who want security, concealment, and all-day comfort in one holster.
A key feature of the A914 is the “Griffin Wing,” a leather extension on the leading edge of the holster. With use, the wing naturally forms to the body and allows flexibility as the wearer moves. It also helps distribute the weight of the firearm across a wider section of the belt, reducing the heavy-spot feeling often associated with carrying larger handguns inside the waistband.
The draw force can be fine-tuned with a retention screw positioned near the trigger guard. A full sweat guard helps protect the handgun from body moisture while also shielding the wearer from direct contact with the firearm. The holster comes with an FBI cant and features an open-bottom design, helping keep the holster clear of dust while allowing use with threaded barrels.
The A914 attaches to the belt using two polymer belt clips. One clip is mounted to the Kydex shell, while the other is attached to the leather wing. The clips are available for 1.5”, 1.75”, and 2” belt widths. Their self-adjusting design allows them to naturally position themselves at the correct cant once the holster is worn on the belt.
The tuckable clip construction allows the wearer to tuck a shirt over the holster, making the A914 suitable for both casual and formal concealed carry. The holster is available for pistols and revolvers, including models equipped with red dot sights.

The A914’s leather “Griffin Wing” is meant to flex and conform with movement, something that matters more on uneven terrain than standing at a counter, while the open-bottom design and FBI cant keep the holster functional even with threaded barrels. Falco and Baates say the holster went through months of testing in both humid and dry conditions, suggesting it wasn’t designed disconnected from real outdoor use, though how it performs across a full hunting season is something only field time will confirm. The A914 GBGuns IWB Holster carries an MSRP of $159.95 and is compatible with a wide range of pistols, revolvers, and red-dot-equipped handguns. Tell us in the comments if this is one you’d carry afield.
