Kent Cartridge Has New Pheasant And Duck Loads And A New Rebate, Too

By Zac K.

Waterfowl and upland hunting seasons are starting soon for 2026, and Kent Cartridge is ready for it. They have a new pheasant load for 12-gauge and 20-gauge and a popular waterfowl load is being reintroduced. And if you’re cash-strapped in our brave new economy, good news Kent can help with that too, with a new rebate program.

Kent Ultimate Pheasant loads

Duplex loads with blended shot sizes are growing in popularity these days, and that’s what you get with the new Ultimate Pheasant load. Available in either 20 gauge or 12-gauge (3-inch length, whichever gauge you buy), the Kent Ultimate Pheasant shells blend #4 and #6 shot.

The idea is, you get a good pattern for quick-moving birds at closer ranges but you still have harder-hitting, larger pellets for birds that are a longer distance out. They’re loaded with Kent’s Diamond Shot, a polished lead shot that is supposed to offer more uniform-sized pellets, which in turn will theoretically improve your pattern.

Kent says they made these shells specifically for bagging rooster pheasants, and that the load is “designed for hunters who demand consistency, appreciate hard-hitting performance, and want a load capable of making the most of every opportunity in the field.” Watch Kent’s website here for more details, including pricing.

Fasteel Classic: Return of a good idea

Kent is well-known for their high-performance Fasteel non-toxic waterfowl loads, and they’re bringing back one of their classic shotshell recipes for 2026. The Fasteel Classic Limited Edition is loaded with #1 pellets, carrying a 1 9/16 ounce payload, traveling at 1300 fps.

That sounds like a solid load for late-season puddle ducks and close-in geese, and that’s indeed what Kent says these shells are for. They come with a gray hull and high-brass head, just like classic Fasteel shells. Pricing for the revived classic load is $399.99 for a case of 250 shells; get more information here at Kent’s website. And if you think that’s an expensive shotshell, then there’s good news ahead!

Thankfully, Kent offers a rebate on its non-toxic loads again this year. [Kent]

Reviving the rebate idea

Fasteel Classic loads are among the non-toxic shells  included in Kent’s Steel Some Savings rebate, which runs until the end of 2026. See details below:
