Millennium Marine Big Daddy BD-100 Adds a Wider Boat Seat
Some of us just need more room in the seat, and Millennium Marine answered that at ICAST earlier this past month with the Big Daddy Boat Seat, model BD-100. It is built on the same platform as the company’s popular B-100, with the seating surface stretched out for anybody who finds a standard boat seat a little snug.

The headline is width. The BD-100 runs a 24-inch-wide seating platform, four inches more than the original B-100. Everything else that made the B-100 a fixture on fishing boats carries straight over: the breathable ComfortMAX sling fabric that drains water and dries fast, integrated lumbar support, and all-metal construction with no plastic structural parts to crack in the sun. It still folds flat for storage and transport, which matters when you are trying to clear deck space or stow seats for the trailer ride home.
Here is how the BD-100 breaks down:
- 24-inch-wide seating platform, four inches wider than the B-100
- Integrated lumbar support and included armrest straps
- All-metal construction, no plastic components
- Breathable ComfortMAX fabric
- Fold-flat design
- 400 lb capacity
- Gray and Green: 8.2 lbs, 22.5″ H x 24″ W x 17.5″ L
- Red and Bottomland: 7.8 lbs, 19″ H x 24″ W x 17.5″ L
- Optional B-101 seat cables, one-year warranty
Available colors are Gray, Green, Red, and Bottomland camo. Note the two height configurations depending on colorway, with the Gray and Green versions sitting a few inches taller than the Red and Bottomland models. Worth checking against your pedestal setup before ordering.
Millennium hasn’t announced BD-100 pricing yet. For reference, the standard B-100 it is based on sells for around $120, so the wider Big Daddy will likely land a bit above that. Check with Millennium dealers as it hits shelves.

The B-100 earned its reputation on comfort during long days, and the Big Daddy is a straight answer to customers who wanted the same seat with more real estate.
Is a wider platform the upgrade that gets you off a worn-out factory seat, or are you happy with the standard width? Track us down on social and tell us. We always appreciate the feedback.
