Moultrie Adds First Lite Specter to the EDGE 3 Camera Lineup
Moultrie is making the EDGE 3 and EDGE 3 PRO available in First Lite Specter camo, and the timing makes sense heading into summer scouting season. Specter is designed to blend across the mixed hardwood and brushy terrain that covers most of the whitetail range, which is exactly where most of these cameras are going to spend the next several months.
The cameras themselves have not changed. What the First Lite version adds is the pattern and a free three-month onX Hunt Elite subscription for new customers, which combined with the camera’s existing onX Hunt app integration makes for a functional scouting package out of the box. The cameras push images directly to the Moultrie app over the strongest available carrier signal from major U.S. networks, selected automatically without configuration.
The AI buck detection is the feature worth spending time on. When a buck steps into frame the camera automatically switches from photos to HD video and immediately pushes the footage to the app. If you have ever spent twenty minutes swiping through hundreds of doe photos at midnight looking for the one shooter that walked through at 2 a.m., that automatic switch is a genuinely meaningful time saver.
The EDGE 3 in First Lite runs 40MP images, 1080p video, 100-foot detection range, and a 0.4-second trigger speed. The EDGE 3 PRO raises everything: 50MP images, 1440 QHD video, No Glow flash, 0.3-second trigger, and the Easy Aim Mount is included in the box for faster precise hanging. No SD card is required on either model.
