NEBO Launches COLUMBO 400+ Rechargeable Penlight and Area Light
NEBO is adding the COLUMBO 400+ to their lineup, a dual-function penlight that also expands into an area light. At $34.99 it is a compact, pocket-carry package built from anodized aircraft-grade aluminum with IPX7 waterproofing and a magnetic base for hands-free use. The Flex-Power system runs on either a USB-C rechargeable battery or two AAA batteries for backup, which keeps you from being stranded if you forget to charge it.

Eight total light modes split evenly between penlight and area light operation. The penlight tops out at 400 lumens for 30 seconds in Turbo, steps down to 250 lumens for up to 3.5 hours in High, and 25 lumens for up to 8 hours in Low, with an emergency strobe rounding out the four modes. Area light mode mirrors that structure at 300, 150, and 15 lumens across the same runtime tiers, again with strobe.

The magnetic base is the practical detail that pushes this beyond a standard penlight.
