Ol’ Man Outdoors Introduces the OF-300 Chuck Wagon Deer Feeder
Ol’ Man Outdoors is rolling out something this spring: the OF-300 Chuck Wagon, a 300-pound stand-and-fill deer feeder. The premise is simple: big capacity, minimal trips, no babysitting.
Three hundred pounds on a 19.5 by 27-inch platform. If you’re running multiple stands or managing property solo, that number actually matters. Every fill run you skip during season is time you’re not burning and scent you’re not spreading. Small thing. Adds up fast. Ol’ Man also threw in a sight glass so you can check feed levels from the outside without popping the lid. Sounds minor right up until you’ve driven 20 minutes down a two-track to find out you’re empty and now you’ve got to turn around and do it again.

Full spec list:
- 300 lb capacity stand-and-fill deer feeder
- 19.5″ x 27″ platform
- Sight glass for quick level checks
- 12-volt light-torque motor
- Pre-mounted, pre-wired solar panel
- Varmint-proof guard
- Lockable battery and timer compartment
That solar panel being pre-mounted and pre-wired is worth paying attention to. A lot of feeders in this class ship you the bracket and leave the rest to you. Getting that done out of the box is genuinely useful, not just a marketing bullet point. The lockable compartment is similar. Don’t overthink it as theft prevention. It’s really about keeping moisture and rodents away from components that will kill the feeder mid-season if they get into them, and they will get into them.

Pricing is TBA. Ol’ Man is positioning this as a property management tool and it’ll need to hit a competitive number to go up against Moultrie and American Hunter. We’ll see where they land when dealers start getting stock as summer approaches.
So, you guys and gals running high-capacity stand-and-fill setups right now, does integrated solar factor into your buying decision or is it just nice to have? Let us know in the comments below. We always appreciate the feedback.
