John Moses Browning never saw this one coming. His 1935 design, finished after his death, has now picked up a Coyote Brown Cerakote coat that would look right at home on a dusty ridge in a spaghetti western, with Morricone whistling somewhere in the background.
This is TFB's Photo Of The Day, and the subject is Springfield Armory's SA-35, in a Lipsey's exclusive color. The forged steel frame and slide wear the H-250 finish, while G10 VZ grips with a diamondback texture add bite to the hold. To me, it looks like it got a rattlesnake built into the grip.
A 4.7-inch cold hammer forged barrel and a white dot front sight with a serrated rear sit on top, and the magazine now holds 15 rounds of 9mm.
This is old-school steel with a modern attitude. Would you carry a classic in Coyote Brown, or does a Hi-Power belong in black or blued only?
