SAF Reports Contra Costa CCW Settlement Covering Red Dots, Lights and 1911s

The Second Amendment Foundation announced an agreement on October 8, 2026, addressing concealed-carry equipment restrictions in Contra Costa County, California. The group says the county will remove bans covering red-dot sights, weapon-mounted lights and semiautomatic single-action 1911/2011 pistols.
Qualification requirements remain part of the process. The announcement describes a local settlement, while the signed agreement and updated county instructions still need independent review.
