DSA Arms displayed their new FAL G Series at SHOT Show 2026 with a military metal handguard and bipod configuration priced at $2,500. The G Series replicates the first commercial FAL rifles imported to the United States, capturing the aesthetics and details of those original guns that introduced American shooters to the FAL platform in the 1960s.

DSA built the G Series around their forged receiver with chrome-lined barrel. The wood stock matches the profile and finish of the original import rifles, while the metal handguard and integrated bipod give it the military configuration. The company replicated period-correct details including the white opaque markings, proper selector switches and levers, and the unique flash hider design from the early guns. That flash hider uses a donut cut that keys into place before threading, different from standard threaded muzzle devices.

DSA FAL G Series Specifications:

  • Forged receiver
  • Chrome-lined barrel
  • Wood buttstock
  • Military metal handguard with bipod
  • Period-correct white opaque markings
  • Original-style selector switches and levers
  • Unique keyed flash hider design
  • MSRP: $2,500

The G Series appeals to FAL collectors and enthusiasts who want the throwback aesthetics without hunting down original import rifles. DSA previously ran a limited G Series production (of the all wood version) replicating all 700 serial numbers from the original import batch, though it's unclear if this military handguard variant follows the same limited run or represents ongoing production.

TFBTV covered the limited run of all wood G Series a few years back:

Functionally, the G Series runs like any other DSA FAL. The appeal isn't performance improvements over their standard rifles, it's the complete package replicating what American shooters would have experienced buying one of those first commercial imports. The wood stock, metal handguard, and integrated bipod deliver that Cold War era aesthetic that drives a segment of the battle rifle market.

The $2,500 price point positions the G Series above DSA's standard FAL offerings but below custom builds or original import rifles commanding collector premiums. Whether that pricing makes sense depends on how much you value historically accurate aesthetics over modern features.
