Much like Hogue and Caldwell, Hornady had a packed booth at SHOT Show 2026, and the new product list runs across just about every category they touch. Here's everything worth knowing from one place. Pricing wasn't publicly announced for most of these at the show.
The headliner is the 22 Creedmoor. Hornady is now putting factory ammo behind this cartridge in a big way, offering four distinct loads out of the box. It's built on the 6.5 Creedmoor case and is set up for long-range predator work and varmint hunting, but the Precision Hunter load with the 80 gr ELD-X pushes it into deer territory too. The Match load is there for the precision shooting crowd. With over two dozen rifle manufacturers already chambering guns in 22 CM, this is one of the more significant ammo introductions of the year.
New Hornady Products for 2026:
- 22 Creedmoor - V-Match (69 gr ELD-VT, 3560 fps), Precision Hunter (80 gr ELD-X, 3285 fps), Superformance (65 gr CX, 3660 fps), Match (80 gr ELD Match, 3285 fps)
- American Whitetail Tipped - new deer hunting load line
- Frontier Cartridge - new caliber additions including 6mm ARC, .300 Blackout Subsonic, and .338 ARC Subsonic
- DGH (Dangerous Game Handgun) bullet - heavy-for-caliber jacketed penetrator, 9mm through .500 S&W
- Lock-N-Load Classic Pro Press - upgraded single-stage press with precision-machined internals
- Versa-Prime Bench Priming Tool - 6061 aluminum, 100-primer capacity, rotary feed
- 12th Edition Handbook of Cartridge Reloading - 400+ cartridges, new powder data
- DIGI-Vaults (3 models), Digital Ammo Cabinet, TrekLite Lock Box with TSA combo lock
The DGH bullet deserves a closer look for anyone who carries a sidearm in the backcountry. It's a jacketed, heavy-for-caliber round built for penetration through barriers and resistant to deflection. Hornady is also loading it into their new Backcountry Defense ammo line, which runs from 9mm up to .500 S&W.
On the reloading side, the Classic Pro is essentially a tighter-tolerance version of the Classic Press that's been around forever. Precision-machined surfaces, brass bushings, and an integrated grease zerk for maintenance.
The Versa-Prime bench priming tool is machined from 6061 aluminum with a 100-primer capacity and a rotary feed system that switches between small and large primers without swapping components.
The 12th Edition Handbook rounds out the reloading lineup with load data for over 400 cartridges and updated powder selections including Winchester's StaBall series.
Hornady's security side also got some new entries, including the DIGI-Vault series in three sizes, a Digital Ammo Cabinet with a three-point lock and USB backup power, and the TrekLite Lock Box built from impact-resistant polycarbonate for travel. Not the flashiest stuff at SHOT, but it sells.
No hard pricing on most of these yet. Hornady typically gets their new products into dealers within a few months of the show, so keep an eye out as the year moves forward.
