A violent altercation on Lake Avenue in Lehigh Acres, Florida, escalated into an armed encounter after a suspect shoved a pickaxe into a resident’s back and threatened to strike him. Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno confirmed that the resident fired a defensive shot from the ground, striking 55-year-old Eddie Jordan II in the lower leg to halt the attack. After a secondary dispute days later, Jordan was apprehended near a local Circle K and booked into the Lee County Jail on felony aggravated battery charges.
