Henry Repeating Arms has announced a new series of lever guns called Explorer. Based on their model H9, H10, and H12 centerfire lever action rifles, the Explorer carbines feature a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish, a color choice inspired by the landscapes of the American Southwest. The company notes that this is the first in a potential series of regionally inspired finishes, each intended to capture the distinctive character and colors of America’s diverse landscapes.

Henry Repeating Arms @ TFB:
“Sometimes a product tells you what it wants to be,” said Anthony Imperato, Founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms. “We produced a Burnt Bronze lever-action as an experiment, and it immediately stood out. The color evokes the landscapes of the American Southwest, which made the Explorer Carbine name a natural match. This is just the beginning, and we invite the Henry community to send us their ideas for other colors and regions that deserve their own spot in our catalog.”
All Henry Explorer series carbines feature 16.5” barrels with 5/8x24 muzzle threads. The receivers are drilled and tapped for optics mounting. These carbines come with checkered American walnut furniture fitted with sling swivel studs and ventilated recoil pads. The front sight is a brass bead, and the rear sight is a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn with a diamond insert.
The H9 Explorer Carbine is available chambered in .30-30 Winchester or .360 Buckhammer and has a magazine capacity of 4 rounds. The H10 Explorer Carbine is chambered in .45-70 Government, also with a 4-round magazine. The H12 Explorer Carbine is offered in two chambering options, .357 Magnum/.38 Special or .44 Magnum/.44 Special, both with a 7-round magazine capacity.
The MSRP for all versions of the Henry Explorer series carbines is $1,430. For more information, visit the company’s website.
