Built to be tough, the reel has a fully machined 6061 aluminum body, a stainless-steel spiral-bevel gear system, and a fully sealed body and spool. The new VR II is capable of delivering smooth and dependable power in the surf, on the rocks, or even in the water. Additionally, the reels come with the new VS Powergrip handle and drag knobs installed, plus an included bailless kit for the old school anglers who don’t want a bail on their reels.

The new Van Staal VR II Bailed spinning reels are available for purchase now from Van Staal dealers, with an MSRP of $639.95 for a reel. They will be available as a left-handed retrieve reel in both black and silver this August
