Van Staal, a leader in all things surf fishing, is here finishing off their ultimate surf fishing system with the new VSX2 surf rods. These new surf rods have been designed from the ground up to match up perfectly with the Van Staal X2 reels, to deliver a seamless, high-performance setup for dedicated surfcasters who will push their gear to the limit in some of the toughest fishing conditions. The rods are built on 2-piece 24/30-ton blended blanks with Powerlux, to have the ideal balance between power and sensitivity for handling heavy surf and long casts. The guides on the rods are Fuji K-frame guides, with durable Alconite inserts for superior line management, reducing line friction and enhancing casting distance. The split in these two-piece surf rods is a carefully engineered 70/30 split design, with the butt section making up 30 percent of the rod length and guides running along the 70 percent section. This ensures optimal action and responsiveness even with a 2-piece blank while giving the advantage of being easier to transport.

The Van Staal VSX2 rods are available now with an MSRP range of $499.95-$649.95, depending on the model of the rods. There are six different rod models available from 8 feet to 11 feet in length.
