WOOX Elegante Bolt-Action Stocks in American Claro Walnut
WOOX is releasing the Elegante, their first purpose-built bolt-action stock line, and the construction is not what you would assume at first glance. This is not a chassis stuffed inside a wood shell. It is a single hand-selected piece of American Claro Walnut on the outside with a precision-machined aluminum mini-chassis on the inside. Chassis-level bedding in a traditional wood stock form factor. That pairing is genuinely uncommon at any price point in the bolt-action aftermarket.
The walnut selection gets particular attention from WOOX. Each blank is hand-picked for grain and character, then hand-oiled by artisans using a traditional penetrating finish rather than a surface coat. That keeps the natural feel and grain movement in the wood rather than sealing it under polymer. Because it’s natural material, no two stocks carry the same pattern. Not a marketing line. Just how wood works, and it is a meaningful thing when the stock you are ordering is the only one that looks exactly like it.
Two configurations are available at launch. The Sporter and Hybrid differ in geometry to suit different shooting applications, and both come in Standard or High-Grade American Walnut. High-Grade selections carry more distinctive figure in the blank.

Real walnut plus aluminum chassis and still under 35 ounces is not nothing. That weight balance is something WOOX clearly paid attention to, because a heavy stock changes how a rifle handles and not in a good way. More compatibility options are expected as the line develops. At launch the Remington 700, Ruger 10/22, and Ruger American Gen2 are covered, which gets a lot of rifles in the door right away.
