XS Sight Systems has released a new line of fiber optic sights designed specifically for Smith & Wesson revolvers. The Fort Worth, Texas-based manufacturer now offers sight options for J, K, and L frame models, with both fixed and adjustable rear sight configurations.
The new sight systems feature CNC-machined steel construction with fiber optic inserts available in green or orange. According to the company, the fiber optic front sight provides bright visibility in daylight conditions, while a serrated rear sight reduces glare.
“We’re excited to offer our first fiber optic sights for revolvers,” said Jeff King, Marketing Manager, XS Sights. “The special design of the XS Fiber Optic Sights makes them more durable than most on the market and increases the brightness of the aiming point making it an awesome upgrade to any competition, plinking, or self-defense revolver.”
Each kit includes a front sight, rear sight where applicable, green and orange fiber rods, installation hardware, red threadlocker, and detailed instructions. The sights are priced between $194.99 for the J frame fixed sights and $253.89 for the other models.
XS Sights emphasize the ease of installation noting that users can complete installation by driving out the factory pin, swapping the sight, and reinstalling the pin with threadlocker.
XS Sights offers four distinct configurations to match different Smith & Wesson frame sizes and calibers. The J Frame option for .38 Special and .357 Magnum models includes only a front sight at 0.187 inches height.
K and L Frame revolvers chambered in .38 Special or .357 Magnum receive a 0.287-inch front sight paired with a 0.435-inch rear sight. The .44 Magnum K and L Frame variant uses the same front height but a slightly shorter 0.395-inch rear sight. K and L Frame configurations include both front and rear sights with serrated design to reduce glare.
